What comes to mind when you hear the word transformation? Loving nature as I do, my mind immediately goes to the monarch butterfly. I mean, wow, is that not the ultimate transformation? They go from an egg, to a caterpillar, to the chrysalis phase and then to a beautiful butterfly. That is an extraordinary transformation!
But isn't it about the same for us? Transformation is accomplished in steps. Small steps of habit change will bring about total transformation. You don't transform overnight. It happens in stages.
To understand what total transformation is, let's think about that butterfly again. The butterfly is unable to go back to being an egg, a caterpillar, or a chrysalis. Once a butterfly, always a butterfly. This is what is SO beautiful about true transformation. Once you achieve it, it's sustainable, you don't revert back.
Is transformation easy? I think it would be a rare person who would say changing habits is easy.
How do you know when you've completed your transformation? - When it becomes "just the way you do things." You no longer will have to think about it, it will just be automatic, you will no longer yearn for your previous lifestyle. It really is a beautiful process, and is extremely exciting once you've completed your transformation!
How does a person accomplish transformation? There are three necessary ingredients. First is the right system. The right system is the right steps in the right order. This is the foundation of habit change/transformation. Next is to have the right support. The right support means having someone to help encourage you when you're feeling stuck. And finally, ACCOUNTABILITY! The right accountability is like a "kick in the butt" when you're falling off track. Most of us know what to do, but we just don't do it. Without this step, most people will not be able to make their transformation sustainable. They might be able to change for a while, but then they go right back to where there were, or worse.
